Blue Star Memorial

The Lake Placid Garden Club erected a Blue Star Memorial Marker in 1990 at the American Legion Lodge on U.S. Highway 27 just north of the Lake Placid, FL city limits.  This marker was not only to honor our men and women in the military, but also a long time garden club member, Reba Rowell, who had passed away.  Mrs. Rowell was also a very active member of the American Legion; therefore the Legion was interested in having the marker placed on their property.
